TheTurnKey Conference brings attendees into a conference that demonstrates responsible environmental measures.
Light sensors are used throughout the building, turning on/off lighting when space is occupied/unoccupied.
Compact Fluorescent Lighting which uses significantly less energy within the facility , including guest rooms
Recycling program for all used fluorescent lighting and batteries
Single stream recycling program with weight reporting system
Low flow plumbing throughout the building
Thermostats are digital throughout the building to regulate temperature
Plants and Trees are climate tolerant to conserve water
Separate organic waste from other trash
Most cleaning methods/chemicals emphasize Green products
No Styrofoam containers
Recycling of all office paper including guest newspapers
Reusable glasses in guest rooms
Conserve to Preserve (towel and sheet re-use program)
Use of Envirokeys (100% recycled keys) in all guest areas
Linen accents are made with preferred (environmentally safe) polymer
During the Energy Breaks attendees will be provided with drinking water in pitchers rather than plastic bottles. Well-labeled bins designated for recycling or trash will be available in the foyers as well. All presentations will be available to attendees via a USB drive rather than on paper. This year attendees will encounter set up bins to collect plastic name badges as people leave the conference.
