Leaky BSL-3 Rooms and Other Good Ideas
Did you know that BSL-3 rooms should be made to leak? Well, it’s true. BSL-3 facilities operate best when well-constructed containment rooms allow for enough non-BSL-3 air to leak effectively into the dirty room. In this session, we will discuss how to achieve stable directional airflow during normal operation and failures to maintain containment. We will also address show to adjust the operation of your existing facilities to optimize the ability to meet the intent of the BMBL’s “no airflow reversal” requirement.
