Energy Savings Panel Discussion

There are many ways that managers can reduce energy consumption and minimize operational costs for existing and new facilities. This panel discussion will cover: advances in green technologies for washers and sterilizers; implementing processes to schedule rooms to change state (occupied/unoccupied); and applications and efficiencies in using decontamination chambers.
 
 
Bio:  Kevin Lorcheim - Engineer, ClorDiSys Solutions, Inc.

Bio:  Jim Peck:  Building Controls Engineer, Covance, Inc.
Jim was contributory with startup and commissioning of a purpose-built 300,000 Ft2 Biotechnology Laboratory.  He provides energy management recommendations optimizing HVAC equipment and control strategies and has implemented several modifications that conserve hundreds of thousands annually in utility costs.  He collaborates with Covance facilities globally to leverage energy management projects worldwide.

Bio:  Marcel Dion - Director of Marketing, Washing and Sterilization Systems, STERIS Life Sciences Division
Marcel is based in the Quebec facility in Canada, where all STERIS washers are designed and manufactured.  For the past eleven years, he has focused on bringing on the market innovative research and pharmaceutical grade washing systems used in the Life Sciences industry.  Marcel has a degree in instrumentation and control and is a member of ISPE, AALAS, LAMA as well as PDA organizations.
